The fifth “International Strategic Communication Summit” (Stratcom Summit), organized by the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey’s Communications Directorate, the first of which was held in 2021, will take place in Istanbul on March 27-28, 2026, with the theme “Disruption in the International System: Crises, Narratives and the Search for Order.” In this period of reshaping, where uncertainties are increasing and multi-dimensional risks are intertwined, the Stratcom Summit, which is of great importance for developing a new understanding of communication and for social stability and the ability to act together, aims to reaffirm the indispensable role of strategic communication in today’s volatile and fragile global environment. The Summit, which will host policymakers, academics, government officials, communication professionals, representatives of civil society and think tanks, and sector leaders, will address the structural disintegration and transformation in the international system from a multi-dimensional perspective. The International Strategic Communication Summit will discuss the role of strategic communication in the new era, the opportunities it offers, and the boundaries within which it should be shaped.
