Letter from the Presidency of the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, Directorate of Scientist Support Programs, regarding project applications for Programs 2209-A and 2209-B, 2025/1 period:
The 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program and the 2209-B University Students Industry-Oriented Research Projects Support Program aim to provide associate and undergraduate students with research and project management experience.
The scientific evaluation process for project applications submitted under the 2025 call for proposals for Programs 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program and 2209-B University Students Industry-Oriented Research Projects Support Program has been completed, and conditionally accepted applications have been determined. For the projects to be finalized and eligible for support, the following procedures must be completed without fail.
In this context;
• Academic advisors involved in the projects must approve the terms of the Bibliography Commitment regarding the use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) tools via the BİDEB Application and Monitoring System (e-bideb.tubitak.gov.tr) between May 13, 2026 and June 4, 2026.
• Following the completion of the aforementioned GAI approval process under the 2209-A University Students Research Projects Support Program, if requested for the relevant project, the ethics committee approval certificate or ethics committee exemption certificate must be uploaded to the BİDEB Application and Monitoring System by the student project leader between June 8, 2026 and August 8, 2026.
• • Under the 2209-B University Students Industry-Oriented Research Projects Support Program, following the completion of the Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) approval process, the project leader student is required to upload the industry approval letter and, if requested for the project, the ethics committee approval certificate or ethics committee exemption certificate to the BİDEB Application and Monitoring System between June 8, 2026 and August 8, 2026. Project support will be activated only if these obligations are fulfilled within the specified timeframe; otherwise, the projects will not be supported. Furthermore, it is important that your university does not include the number or names of projects for which support decisions have not yet been finalized in announcements and similar public disclosures.
