ANKARA UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF SCIENCE INTERNSHIP APPLICATION CONDITIONS
1) Students applying for internships must have a General Academic Achievement Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 2 out of 4.
2) Internships must be completed no earlier than the end of the 4th semester and no later than the end of the 6th semester.
3) Internships can be done during the mid-semester or summer term. (Internships cannot be done between the start and end dates specified in the academic calendar).
4) For departments where internships are not mandatory, the internship period should be at least 15 and at most 45 working days. (If sufficient funds are available, students can complete internships in two separate periods, not exceeding 45 working days, in the form of 30+15, 25+20, 20+20, 15+25, etc.). In departments where internships are mandatory, students may complete an additional internship, not exceeding 20 working days, in addition to the mandatory internship, provided sufficient funding is available.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR INTERNSHIP APPLICATION
1) Photocopy of ID card (2 copies)
2) Photocopy of student ID card or student certificate (2 copies)
3) Internship application form (2 copies)
4) Certificate of Eligibility from the General Directorate of Retirement Services of the Social Security Institution (can be obtained from the e-government application) (2 copies)
5) Internship acceptance letter from the unit where the internship will be conducted (This document is not required if the internship application form already has the signature and stamp of the unit where the internship will be conducted). (2 copies)
WARNINGS
1) Students applying for an internship must submit all required documents with wet signatures and in full.
2) Application documents must be submitted to the relevant department secretariat in person or by mail at least 5 (five) working days before the start date of the internship.
3) Health reports obtained during the internship period must be submitted to the Accounting Department of the Faculty of Science Dean’s Office within a maximum of 3 (three) business days; otherwise, our faculty will not be held responsible for any administrative or legal penalties that may arise.
